Instead of staying with friends and partying in the winter break, it was a wise decision to avail the opportunity which our Media teacher had suggested, which was of going to an internship during the winter vacations. We started going there from the first day I had off.
On the first day , we had co-ordinated with time with our teacher and decided to meet at a common point ( dunkin donuts) and then go further together as we were not aware of the location. We all reached there on time and the first place we went to was the INTERFLOW office.

When we entered the interflow office , we were send to a empty room to wait. It was a table and we were sitting there with our Media teacher Mr.Zaman. He told us about his experience at interflow when he was a part of the Interflow company himself many years ago. His experience stories helped us develop further interest in the subject.
At interflow , we were called upstairs where we were shown a presentation about the Interflow company. For almost three decades, Interflow Communications has been one of the pioneers of marketing communication services in Pakistan. We had a question answer session with the people who were presenting the presentation to us. They showed is the name of the brands for which they work for and we shown the Advertisment which they had made and told us interesting things about what difficulties they faced while making it and where they had to go to make it.
After that we went to the Pyramid studio where we continued to go for the rest of the vacations regularly. We were told to divide in groups of 2. Each pair would be send to a different room so we can all learn Editing, Sound, Graphics etc in shifts which can rotate so we get a chance to learn everything in the short period of time. The experience was more of an observation then of a training. In the start days we were told to observe and ask questions as they though this would be the most effective approach. But as time passed we realized that they people on job used to come really late and we had to wait for them to come so we can start with our work. They used to have their own deadlines to meet so mostly they used to be busy in their own work telling us to come after a while and so to another department for the time being.
The department we mostly stayed in was the Sound department. Mr.Danish who was responsible is a very devoted man , and was really keen to make us learn something and show our creativity. He gave us a chance to do voice over for commercials, taught us how to use the software “ Sony Vegas” which will be really helpful when ceating the sound for our Final Video. He taught us how to count the beats of the song and taught us the beat rule of the song , so we don’t make a mistake in making sound for our final video.
